The Experience
Both being the quintessence of their respective nation, bullfighting is to Spanish culture what Bordeaux is to French viticulture. While the bird’s-eye view of the composition creates layers of space reminiscent of the depth of an exquisite Right Bank claret, tracks in the sand represent not only the fight of life-and-death, but also the intense foundation of terroir in Bordeaux.
The Wine
Sourced from one of the most revered terroirs of the entire Bordeaux, this Saint-Émilion Grand Cru is a remarkably generous wine. With an intense garnet-red robe, it emanates charming aromas of berries and more exotic fruits. A classic Right Bank blend of 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc, this wine effortlessly achieves the delicacy between acidity and tannins. Silky and flavoursome with warm spices on the palate, this elegant wine has a refreshing and long aftertaste.

Drawing inspiration from his Majorcan and above all Spanish culture, Miquel Barceló created this profound and lively masterpiece, depicting a bullring of passion and pulse. So powerful is the centrifugal force of bullfighting that the conscience seems to be sucked into the ritualistic maelstrom of struggle and death.
